In 1941, during the Japanese occupation of mainland China, a man is infected by a Japanese vampire soldier. He manages to climb in to an underground cavern where he impales himself with a wooden stake. 25 years later, after the Mao communist Revolution, he's inadvertently ressurected by his unsuspecting son and returns long enough to infect the people's leader.

Saki Nishijima (Sayaka Fujimoto), an employee at major distribution company Ōsaki Trading, suffers harassment at work and considers changing jobs to Asuka Industries. Instead, she is deceived by her boyfriend Tomokazu Kawakita and forced into the sex industry. At her lowest point, Saki encounters Gensai (Makoto Gunji), leader of the religious group Daijōsai. Under his influence, she rises to become Gion’s No.1 hostess. However, Gensai is in reality a con artist who preaches salvation while swindling people out of vast sums of money. Oda, Suzuki, and Kanayama uncover connections between Daijōsai and the Ashikaga-kai and begin closing in on the truth. Unaware that Saki has become Gensai’s pawn, Suzuki finds himself increasingly drawn to her—placing both his heart and his life in danger.

Black and Blue was a BBC TV comedy-drama series, first broadcast in 1973. The show consisted of six 50–60 minutes episodes, each a separate self-contained playlet. The only connection was the Black and Blue humour theme.The first episode was broadcast on 14 August 1973, with the finale on 18 September 1973. The first, Secrets, was wiped, only surviving thanks to a domestic videotape copy made from the master by producer Mark Shivas.

The two central characters are breaking up. Moira flees to Paris; Stan goes up north with gay writer friend, Timothy. Moira returns and joins Stan and Timothy up north to sort things out. Roberta, Stan's old friend also arrives. The next 24 hours reveal the assortment of tensions, expectations, humour and discontents of four people experiencing the difficult transition to middle age. The four characters return to Toronto to resume their separate lives.
